Anti-Oppression Policy Consultant / Anti-Racist Educator and Researcher

Personal Profile

Brief Bio

As an Anti-Racist Educator and Researcher I am pursuing a PhD in Public Policy and Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University.  I also work closely with companies to reassess their corporate structures to implement equity, diversity and inclusion strategies into its employment policies.

Research Interests

Much of my research focuses on the power dynamics regarding issues of race and ethnicity in both the private and public spheres in the Canadian labour market. Understanding Canada as a white settler colonial state, I explore how white dominance operates within the Canadian labour market and highlight its impact on racialized bodies more broadly.  By examining racialized individuals’ access, validity of credentials and qualifications, as well as earnings gaps and mobility within places of employment, I aim to inform public policy and further improve issues of inequality in the Canadian labour market.

Teaching Expertise

Social Sciences, Business, Education, and Legal Studies at both the university and secondary school level.
